Day 1: Entebbe International Airport- Arrival at Entebbe international airport
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a tour guide who will be your driver and companion throughout the trip. After completing immigration and customs formalities, you will proceed to the exit, where your guide will be waiting for you.
You will then be driven to your hotel in Entebbe, which is approximately 5-10 minutes away from the airport. Depending on your arrival time, you may have some time to rest and freshen up before starting your tour activities.
Entebbe is a beautiful town located on the shores of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa and the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. It is surrounded by lush green vegetation and is known for its serene atmosphere and scenic beauty.
In the afternoon, you may have the opportunity to take a tour of the town and visit some of its major attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, and Entebbe Beach. Alternatively, you can opt to relax at your hotel and acclimatize to the new environment.
In the evening, you will have dinner at your hotel and rest in preparation for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Jinja Uganda- Drive to Jinja and Visit the Source of River Nile
After breakfast, you will drive to Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda. On the way, you will stop at the Mabira Forest for a nature walk to see the various species of birds, butterflies and monkeys. You will then proceed to Jinja where you will visit the source of the Nile, the longest river in the world. You will have a chance to take a boat ride to the source of the Nile, and you will also visit the Bujagali Falls. Mabira Forest is a tropical rainforest located in central Uganda, and it’s known for its rich biodiversity. The nature walk through the forest will take you on trails that wind through the towering trees, with opportunities to spot various bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco, African Grey Parrot, and Yellow-throated Tinker bird, among others.
Once you reach Jinja, you will visit the source of the Nile, which is located at the northern end of Lake Victoria. You can take a boat ride to the source of the Nile, where you’ll see the waters of Lake Victoria start their long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. The Bujagali Falls, located a few kilometers downstream, offer a great spot for some amazing photographs.
In Jinja town, you can explore the local markets and shops for souvenirs, or even try out some of the local cuisine, which includes dishes such as “rolex” (a popular street food made with a rolled chapati filled with eggs and vegetables) and “matoke” (a starchy dish made from plantains).
You will spend the night in Jinja.
Day 3: Sipi Falls Uganda- Visit Itanda Falls and transfer to Mbale
On Day 3, you will have the opportunity to visit Itanda Falls, which is located near Jinja, and is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Uganda. This waterfall is not as well-known as some of the others in Uganda, but it is definitely worth a visit for its stunning natural beauty.
To get to Itanda Falls, you will need to take a short drive from Jinja, and then embark on a short hike through the lush green forest. The hike is relatively easy and should take around 30 minutes, and you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the waterfall once you arrive. The waterfall cascades down from a height of about 30 meters and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
After visiting the waterfall, you will continue your journey to Mbale, a bustling town located in the eastern part of Uganda. The drive to Mbale will take approximately 4 hours, and you will have the opportunity to admire the stunning scenery along the way, including the lush green hills and valleys that are characteristic of the area.
Once you arrive in Mbale, you will have the chance to explore the town and its surroundings. You can visit the local markets, interact with the friendly locals, and sample some of the delicious local cuisine. You will then transfer to Sipi Falls, where you will spend the night. Sipi Falls is located in the foothills of Mount Elgon and is known for its stunning waterfalls and beautiful hiking trails.
Day 4: Sipi Falls Uganda- Hike Mount Elgon National Park and Sipi falls tour
On Day 4, you will have a full day to explore Mount Elgon National Park and the beautiful Sipi Falls.
You will begin the day with an early breakfast, and then meet your guide to start your hike up Mount Elgon. The hike will take approximately 5-6 hours, depending on your pace, and you will have the chance to see some amazing scenery, including waterfalls and forests. Mount Elgon is the fourth highest mountain in East Africa, and its slopes are home to a wide variety of wildlife and plant species. Your guide will point out interesting features and provide information about the flora and fauna along the way.
After your hike, you will return to your lodge for lunch and some rest before visiting the beautiful Sipi Falls. The falls are located about 45 minutes from the lodge, and you will have the opportunity to hike to the base of the falls for some great photo opportunities. If you are feeling adventurous, you can also take a swim in the cool pools at the bottom of the falls. You will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: pain Upe Game Reserve- Game drive and depart Mount Elgon National park for Pian-Upe Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, you will depart Mount Elgon National Park for Pain Upe Game Reserve. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, and you will drive through the stunning Karamoja region of Uganda. This region is home to the Karamojong people, a semi-nomadic ethnic group known for their traditional way of life and pastoralist practices.
Upon arrival at Pain Upe Game Reserve, you will check into your accommodation and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive through the park. The reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and Uganda’s largest population of cheetahs. The landscape of the reserve is also impressive, with rolling hills and open savannah plains.
After the game drive, you will have a cultural encounter with the Karamojong people. This will give you a chance to learn about their way of life and experience their culture firsthand. You will learn about their traditional dances, dress, and way of life.

The Karamojong are pastoralists who have managed to preserve their traditional way of life despite modernization. During the encounter, you will learn about their customs, beliefs, and way of life. You will also have a chance to participate in some of their cultural activities such as cattle herding and milk processing.

Day 7: Kidepo Valley National Park- Depart Pian-Upe Game reserve for Kidepo valley National park and visit Kanagorok hot springs
Day 7 of this itinerary involves departing from Pian-Upe Game Reserve and driving to Kidepo Valley National Park. On the way, you will stop at the Kanangorok Hot Springs for a chance to relax and stretch your legs. The hot springs are located at the foot of a mountain and are a popular attraction for visitors to the area. The mineral-rich waters are believed to have therapeutic benefits and are said to be good for the skin.
After your visit to the hot springs, you will continue your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, which is located in the northeastern part of Uganda. In the afternoon, you will have a cultural encounter with the Karamojong people, who are the main inhabitants of the region. Along the way, you will drive through scenic landscapes, including the Karuma Falls and the breathtaking views of the Rift Valley escarpment. You will also see numerous farms and small towns along the way.
Once you arrive at the park, you will check into your accommodation and have lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a game drive in the park, where you will have a chance to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and antelopes. On day 20, you will go on a mountain gorilla trekking adventure and visit the Batwa villages in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety. You will then be assigned a gorilla family to trek, depending on your fitness level and preferences.
Accompanied by a park ranger and a team of trackers, you will embark on a thrilling hike through the dense forest in search of the mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 1-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are assigned to, but the experience is worth it.
Once you locate the gorilla family, you will have one hour to observe and take photos of these magnificent creatures up close, as they go about their daily activities. You will witness the gorillas feeding, playing, and interacting with each other, providing a unique and unforgettable experience.
After the gorilla trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may visit the Batwa villages near the park for a cultural encounter. The Batwa people are a pygmy tribe that lived in the forest before it was gazetted as a national park. After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and depart for Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is located about 3 hours away from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you will visit the Batwa community, a tribe of indigenous forest people who lived in the Virunga Mountains before they were displaced by the creation of national parks.
During your visit to the Batwa community, you will learn about their traditional way of life, including hunting, gathering, and honey harvesting. You will also witness their traditional dances and songs, as well as participate in their cultural activities. The Batwa people have a rich cultural heritage, and this experience will provide insight into their unique way of life.
After the cultural encounter, you will have lunch and proceed for an optional nature walk in the park, where you will have the opportunity to spot forest elephants, buffaloes, and various species of primates. Day 22: Lake Mburo National Park – Golden monkey trekking and Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
On day 22, you will have a unique and exciting experience of trekking the rare golden monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, followed by a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, you will head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for the golden monkey trekking experience. These beautiful primates are known for their stunning golden fur and are endemic to the Albertine Rift region of East Africa. The trek can take anywhere from 1-4 hours, depending on the location of the golden monkeys, and you will be accompanied by experienced guides who will provide information about the monkeys and their habitat.
After the golden monkey trekking, you will have lunch and then depart for Lake Mburo National Park, which is about a 4-hour drive away. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and have some time to rest and relax.
In the evening, you will go on a nature walk with an experienced ranger, during which you will have the opportunity to see various wildlife such as zebras, impalas, and warthogs. You will also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park, which includes rolling hills, grasslands, and forests.

Day 23: Lake Mburo National Park – Morning Game Drive and Nature walk
On day 23, you will have a full day to explore Lake Mburo National Park, with a morning game drive and a nature walk in the afternoon.
After breakfast, you will go on a morning game drive with an experienced guide who will take you through the park’s various habitats, such as open savannah, acacia woodland, and seasonal and permanent swamps. You will have the chance to see a variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, warthogs, and many bird species.
After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for lunch and some rest before going on an afternoon nature walk. You will be accompanied by a ranger who will take you through the park’s different trails and show you the smaller flora and fauna of the park, such as different bird species, insects, and reptiles.
In the evening, you will have dinner and spend the night at your lodge, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the bush.
Day 24: Entebbe International Airport – Cycling experience and drive to Kampala. Visit the Kasubi tombs
On day 24, you will have a cycling experience and then drive to Kampala, with a visit to the Kasubi Tombs.
After breakfast, you will have a cycling experience around Lake Mburo National Park, which is a unique way to explore the park and its surroundings. You will ride through the park’s different trails, enjoying the fresh air and scenery while spotting some wildlife on the way.
After the cycling experience, you will check out of your lodge and depart for Kampala. You will have a stopover at the Kasubi Tombs, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the burial site of the Kings of Buganda. You will learn about the history and significance of the tombs and also get a chance to see the traditional architecture and artifacts.
You will then continue the drive to Kampala, where you will check in at your hotel and have dinner. You can choose to relax or explore the city’s nightlife if you wish.
Day 25: Reptile Village and Departure
On day 25, you will visit the Reptile Village before departing for the airport for your departure flight.
After breakfast, you will visit the Reptile Village, which is located on the outskirts of Kampala. Here, you will see various reptiles such as snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocodiles up close and learn about their behavior and habitat. The village also has a botanical garden with a wide variety of plants and trees.
After the visit to the Reptile Village, you will have lunch and then depart for Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. Your driver-guide will drop you off at the airport in time for your flight, marking the end of your Ugandan safari adventure.
